Job Description

The Sales Operations Specialist will play a crucial role in processing customer transactions, facilitating communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams, and driving continuous improvement in sales operations. This role requires a blend of strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in inside sales, sales operations, or order management and will thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Processing:

    • Accurately process customer transactions, including orders, quotes, and returns (RMA’s).
    • Facilitate expedite requests to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
  • Communication:

    • Maintain clear and effective communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
    • Liaise with sales and operational teams to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Reporting and Analysis:

    • Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to vendors, customers, and management.
    • Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements, conducting necessary research to gather required data.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Develop, implement, and optimize workflows, tools, reports, and processes.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflows and processes.
  • Compliance and Additional Duties:

    • Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational integrity.
    • Perform other duties as requested to support departmental objectives.

Job Requirements

  • Experience and Technical Skills:

    • 2-5 years of experience in inside sales, sales operations, sales support, or order management.
    • Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and CRM tools; experience with Tigerpaw is a plus.
  • Adaptability and Problem-Solving:

    • Ability to work in a matrix organizational environment and across all departments seamlessly.
    • Demonstrate the ability to handle changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a demanding environment.
    • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to navigate shifting priorities and timelines.
  • Communication and Collaboration:

    • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and positively as a team player at all times.
  • Passion and Enthusiasm:

    • Display a passion for technology and innovation, approaching work with high energy and enthusiasm.
    • Show self-motivation and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Flexibility and Innovation:

    • Strong ability to adapt, evolve, and innovate in response to changing business needs.
    • Willingness to occasionally travel and attend sales events or exhibits (0%-5%).

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Marketing, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
