Responsibilities:

• Construct samples and prototypes of garments, accessories, or other products based on design concepts and technical specifications provided by designers and pattern makers.
• Source and select appropriate materials, fabrics, trims, and components needed for sample creation, ensuring alignment with design requirements and production feasibility.
• Collaborate with pattern makers to make necessary adjustments to patterns based on sample feedback and design alterations, ensuring accuracy in fit and construction.
• Utilize various tools, equipment, and techniques such as sewing, cutting, stitching, and finishing to assemble samples with precision and quality craftsmanship.
• Conduct thorough quality checks on finished samples to ensure they meet design standards, specifications, and performance requirements, identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of sample development processes, including materials used, techniques applied, and adjustments made, and provide regular progress updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Work closely with designers, pattern makers, product developers, and production teams to communicate sample requirements, resolve design challenges, and facilitate the smooth transition from sample development to mass production

Qualifications:

• Prove experience as a Sample Maker or similar role in the fashion, apparel, or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in garment construction techniques, pattern making, and sewing, with a strong understanding of fabric properties and characteristics.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship, with the ability to produce high-quality samples that accurately reflect design intent.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical challenges in sample development.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and interpret design concepts into tangible prototypes.
