Shipper – Rockland, Maine

Are you a reliable team player with a strong work ethic? Do you take pride in keeping your workspace clean and organized? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! Our client, Douglas Dynamics/Fisher Engineering is currently seeking a Shipper to join their growing team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in daily shipping operations and contribute to the success of a well-established organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret pick tickets, shipping documents, standards of work, and job specifications for the daily shipping schedule.
  • Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments by examining package contents and comparing them with records, invoices, or orders.
  • Assemble cartons; address, seal, and weigh materials or merchandise for shipment.
  • Interface with truck drivers and assist with loading merchandise onto flatbeds using a forklift.
  • Use a WAV (Work Assist Vehicle) to retrieve materials from inventory.
  • Count and record product quantities and numbers; use a computer to check stock levels or item availability.
  • Demonstrate excellent housekeeping by keeping work areas and tools clean and organized.
Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred 
  • 1–2 years of related experience preferred
  • Basic computer navigation skills required
  • Forklift training and license preferred but not required
Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
