Position Purpose
The Shipping Associate is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping finished goods and materials in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and quality standards. This role ensures accurate, timely shipments while supporting inventory control and production flow in a manufacturing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Prepare, package, and ship outgoing orders per work instructions and shipping schedules
  • Verify product quantities, part numbers, and documentation prior to shipment
  • Generate and process shipping paperwork including packing slips and labels
  • Coordinate shipments with carriers and internal departments as needed
  • Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records using internal systems
  • Inspect packaging to ensure product protection and compliance with requirements
  • Follow ESD, quality, and safety procedures when handling materials
  • Support receiving and material handling activities as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area
  • Communicate shipping issues, delays, or discrepancies to supervisors
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • 1–3 years of shipping or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience preparing shipments and handling shipping documentation
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping
  • Ability to lift, move, and package materials safely
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
