Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Shipping Manager to lead and optimize our daily shipping and distribution operations. The Shipping Manager will be responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods from our facility to customers, overseeing all aspects of outbound logistics. This role requires strong leadership, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations Management:
    • Plan, organize, and manage all aspects of shipping operations, including order fulfillment, packaging, loading, and dispatch.
    • Develop and implement efficient shipping strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize workflow and reduce costs.
    • Oversee the preparation of all necessary shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, packing slips, customs forms, and advanced shipping notices (ASNs).
    • Ensure all shipments comply with company policies, legal regulations (domestic and international), and customer requirements.
    • Utilize shipping software and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track, prioritize, and route orders effectively.
    • Monitor and inspect labels, barcodes, and other features of completed orders to ensure accuracy.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift objects (up to 50 lbs) occasionally.
    • Comfortable working in a warehouse/distribution environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
    • Must have Forklift experience
