Work Hours: Typically, Monday-Friday 7:30AM-3:30PM excluding federal holidays.
Work Area/Location: Hanscom Air Force Base, Bedford/Lexington MA or provided laptop to telework on base closure days due to inclement weather or other base emergencies.
Full time annualized pay range (hourly position): $82,000-$88,000
Responsibilities:
· Provide on-site expertise and guidance to Base Records Manager and Administrative Support personnel including but not limited to proper records management procedures, accuracy, and timeframes. Verify continued compliance of Quality Control Program. Serve as the liaison between headquarters, government and personnel. Address and resolve personnel issues.
· Prepare reports including monthly Air Force Records Information System (AFRIMS) to include dates of trainings, tracking and results, changes to and approvals of inventories of records and user profiles. Inventory of records, files, documents, and work papers generated and disposed of per AFRIMS, Records Disposition Schedule. Accountability, reporting and reconciliation of records shipped/retrieved and returned to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) utilizing SF 135’s.
· Develop with government point of contact Staff Assistance Visit checklist (SAV) to review unclassified and classified records to ensure they are being properly structured and maintained in accordance with applicable instructions, including the Air Force ERM Solution, and disposed of in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule. Address potential SAV deficiencies with units.
· Provide support to inspections, audits, staff assistance visits, special interest items, self-assessment program, and other reviews as requested. Prepare Self-Assessments for government-designated functional areas, to include completion of compliance and self-assessment checklists; hosting of inspections, audits, staff assistance visits, and other reviews; drafting and implementation of corrective action plans for any discovered or identified compliance deficiencies. Maintain compliance of OSHA and EPA standards including all Federal, State, Local laws and regulations, including base policies.
· Work with Base Records Manager to develop, conduct and track all required records management training including applicable AETC ADLS for unit personnel on local procedures and recordkeeping requirements.
· Operational understanding of public address systems, document destruction systems/hard drive degausser.
Qualifications:
Must have active SECRET clearance prior to applying for position, or ability to obtain.
Experience with National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) records management policies and procedures and the Archives and Records Centers Information System (ARCIS).
Proficient in Adobe and Sharepoint software.
Experience in Giant Voice and other PA systems.
Experience with document destruction and degaussing systems.
Management of personnel, preferred.
Clean driving record.
Detail oriented; ability to work well on a team.
Exceptional communication skills, professional demeanor.
Tasks may require frequent lifting of up to 50lbs., bending and stretching.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures while operating the public address system.
