Sr Trade Compliance Specialist
Job Description
Salary Range: $78,00 – $145,000 (Depending on Location)
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexible)
Work Environment: Fully Remote
Team Size: Collaborative team of 4, including manager
- Execute divisional compliance policies, including visitor processing, foreign travel, and restricted party screening, in accordance with ITAR and EAR regulations.
- Provide clear, accurate compliance guidance to internal stakeholders across Sales, Program Management, Engineering, and Operations.
- Prepare, author, and submit export licenses, technical assistance agreements, and related authorization requests to U.S. State and Commerce Departments.
- Manage and maintain accurate license recordkeeping and documentation to meet all regulatory and internal audit requirements.
- Review export authorizations for accuracy and adherence to corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper implementation and enforcement of Corporate Trade policies.
- Assess and apply export Exemptions/Exceptions appropriately.
- Monitor and communicate updates on U.S. government authorization policies and compliance requirements.
- Support cross-functional teams to maintain compliance while facilitating international business activities.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (must be a U.S. Person).
- Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant trade compliance experience, OR
- Graduate degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, OR
- In lieu of a degree: 10+ years of trade compliance experience.
- 3–5 years of experience with ITAR and EAR regulations (preferred but not required).
- Strong ability to coordinate simultaneous activities and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects with no direct oversight.
- BA/BS in Business, Political Science, International Studies, or related field.
- Experience with U.S. trade regulations (ITAR/EAR) in a corporate or government environment.
- Knowledge of OCR EASE compliance software.
- Willingness to travel if required.
