How You'll Make an Impact (Responsibilities):
As a Staff Accountant, you will be central to managing the day-to-day financial functions of our properties, ensuring accuracy and providing crucial insights. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Oversee and execute the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple properties.
  • Perform thorough bank account reconciliations for various properties, ensuring data integrity.
  • Construct and diligently maintain accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports, including general ledger, income statements, balance sheets, and aging reports.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process and undertake financial analysis projects as requested, providing valuable insights.
What We're Looking For (Qualifications):
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Staff Accountant with a proven track record in financial management.
  • Proven experience as a Staff Accountant, with a solid background in GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and commercial real estate accounting.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in financial reporting, including general ledger, income statements, balance sheets, and aging reports.
    • Experience with bank account reconciliations for multiple entities.
    • Prior experience with MRI software is a significant plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
    • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while also collaborating with a team.
