Your Mission: The Guardian of Our Molds
As our Tooling Technician, you will be the primary guardian of our complex molds and tooling, ensuring they operate at peak performance and quality standards. You will:
Execute Precision Maintenance: Expertly disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble production molds with meticulous care and precision.
Diagnose and Restore: Proactively diagnose and troubleshoot mold malfunctions, performing essential repairs like replacing worn components, polishing, and minor modifications.
Drive Preventative Maintenance: Utilize production monitoring systems and data to evaluate, enhance, and implement effective preventative maintenance (PM) schedules.
Continuous Improvement & Documentation: Accurately document all maintenance activities and recommend/implement tooling improvements to boost lifespan, quality, and cycle time.
Collaborate for Success: Work closely with the Manufacturing and Production Teams to minimize downtime and ensure optimal mold utilization and output.
What You Bring to the Table (Essential Qualifications)
We're looking for a motivated individual with foundational technical skills and a drive to learn:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Proven proficiency in the safe and effective use of a drill press, pedestal grinder, and essential hand tools relevant to tooling/mold maintenance.
Demonstrated ability to perform mold disassembly, assembly, and safe handling procedures (e.g., using overhead cranes or specific lifting equipment).
Strong mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail and precision.
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a genuine drive to learn and exceed performance expectations.
