Warehouse Clerk

 Position Overview:
Warehouse Clerks perform any necessary function within a building to ensure the success of the daily operation, including order selecting and stocking products. 
 
Essential Job Functions:
  1. Accurately select products to fulfill customer orders, using a cherry picker or other Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) as designated.
  2. Properly arrange selected products on pallets for easy inspection and verification for order accuracy.
  3. Understand and manage required paperwork (e.g., customer orders, vendor stock sheets) to ensure accurate tracking and movement of inventory.
  4. Work closely with Warehouse Managers, Material Handlers, Dock Unloaders, and Forklift Operators to ensure proper product handling and transfer when necessary.
  5. Ensure the correct flow of product movement within the warehouse, adhering to established operational procedures.
  6. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the warehouse to ensure a safe and organized environment.
  7. Adhere to all safety standards and protocols
 
Requirements:
  1. Ability to pass the Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Training Certification Course
  2. Able to lift up to 40 lbs. repeatedly and perform physical tasks as required.
  3. Follow all HIT procedures and policies
  4. Recent experience operating cherry pickers, forklifts, and pallet jacks is highly preferred.
  5. High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  7. Basic computer skills with proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  8. Must be able to read and write in English. Bilinguals welcome.
 
Other Skills/Abilities:
  1. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
  2. Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.
  3. Ability to work overtime as needed to meet operational demands.
  4. Solid understanding of safety standards and protocols within a warehouse environment.
  5. Capability to work in varying warehouse conditions, including high heat and cold temperatures.
Physical Demands:
  1. Seated or standing for extended periods.
  2. Pulling, pushing, bending, and lifting to 40 lbs.
  3. Working in high heat and cold temperatures.
