Our client, Fisher Engineering, is seeking to add Welders to their manufacturing team!
This role involves setting up and performing welding on various components and structures, following provided instructions or established procedures, and using fixtures and jigs. The position requires operating, adjusting, and fine-tuning welding equipment to create high-quality weldments and blades for the company’s snow and ice control products. You will contribute as an active team member, take ownership of the quality of weldments, assist with maintenance tasks, participate in training, perform daily 6S activities, and uphold safety protocols.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 6S standards.
- Follow all health and safety rules and guidelines.
- Produce high-quality welded components to meet daily production targets.
- Focus on scrap reduction and implement quality control measures.
- Collaborate effectively within a team to meet group goals.
- Be willing to work overtime as needed to meet production requirements.
Education and Experience:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Welding Technology Degree or Technical Diploma preferred.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of welding experience in a production environment is desirable. Strong basic math skills and the ability to read blueprints are required. Robotic welding experience is a plus.
We are offering $18.50-$27.00 per hour based on experience.
