Operates forklift in transporting rod spools from inventory to front of machine.

Strings wire, drawing it through a sequence of dies: prepares machine for operation by attaching wire to metal spool (take up). Starts machinery that moves wire through dies. 

Removes finished product form machine; weights spool; and assigns it a sequential number. 

Completes a quality check that consists of looking at caste(size of circle), helix (offset of loop ends) and gauge. Tags spool with appropriate information (e.g., date; shift; log number; heat number; guage; machine number). 

Maintains equipment in order to meet specifications by replacing wearable parts. (e.g., dies; bearings) 

Assists department lead person in keeping inventory control over parts and supplies. 

Monitors conditions of lubrication system. Replenishes lubrication as needed.  

Assists with maintenance of machinery as needed. 

Perform general housekeeping  duties within department. 

Completes production data in Computer. 

Performs other duties at or above the same skill level at the discretion of the Supervisor. 

Overall awareness and understanding that Hope Global operates within the EMS   & QMS 16949 management systems. 

Additional training over the course of the employee's tenure will  be given as needed or required and in accordance with the criteria specified in ESP7.2/QSP 7.2.1 Training Awareness and Competence

High School Diploma 

Prior machine experience is preferred
